Jagdish Arora set to be Director (Projects & Technical) of NALCO

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Jagdish Arora for the post of Director (Projects & Technical) of National Aluminum Company (NALCO) Limited (NALCO) on Friday

New Delhi: Jagdish Arora is set to be next Director (Projects & Technical) of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Mines. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Friday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director in Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).

The Director (Projects & Technical) post in NALCO will fall vacant on August 1, 2023. MP Mishra is the current Director (P&T) of NALCO.

Arora has been recommended for post of Director (Projects & Technical) of NALCO from a list of four candidates who were interviewed by the PESB panel in its selection meeting held on June 23. On the list, two candidates were from NMDC Limited and two from SAIL.

As Director (Projects & Technical) of NALCO, Arora will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). He will be in charge of all projects, and expansion schemes, including feasibility studies, techno-economic evaluations, planning and implementation of the projects and CAPEX. He will also be responsible for all the technical and engineering services required for the satisfactory performance of the various units of the company.
