New Delhi: JK Jain has taken over as Director (HR) of Delhi Transco Limited. An officer of Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Civil Service (DANICS) officer of 1994 batch, Jain has extensive work experience of more than 26 years. He started his career as SDM of Haus Khas, Delhi and move to become Deputy Secretary (Finance). The other important postings Jain has handled in Delhi include Collector of Property Taxes in MCD, Joint Development Commissioner of Delhi and Director of Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board.

Jain has also worked as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Union Territory of Diu and also worked in various senior positions at the Union Territory of Dadra Nagar Haveli at Silvasa.

With proficiency in Hindi, English and Bengali, Jain is a qualified Chartered Accountant.  He has also done courses in Marketing & Financial Management as well as Business & Labour Laws from Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata (IIM-Kolkata). Jain while working with Department of Women & Child Development, played a pivotal role in handling the work of women empowerment and child protection as well as in the implementation of various flagship schemes of the government of India namely: Poshan Abhiyaan and Integrated Child Development Scheme. He had also very aptly handled the long pending court cases to bring them to the minimum level.

In addition to his duties in Delhi Transco Limited, Jain has also been assigned the responsibilities of Special Secretary (Power) the government of NCT of Delhi and Director (HR) of Indraprastha Power Generation Company Limited and Pragati Power Corporation Limited.
