KV Suresh Kumar set to be next Director (Marketing) of BEL

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has recommended the name of KV Suresh Kumar for the post of Director (Marketing) of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL)

New Delhi: KV Suresh Kumar is set to be next Director (Marketing) of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Friday. Presently, he is serving as General Manager in the same organisation.

Kumar has been recommended for the post of Director (Marketing) of BEL from a list of nine candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB panel in its selection meeting held on March 17. Out of nine candidates, six candidates were from BEL and one each from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL).

As Director (Marketing) of BEL, Kumar will be responsible for evolving a marketing strategy for the company's products both in domestic and international markets. He will have to initiate programmes for new customer development, identify diversification programmes for the company and ensure a healthy order book position for the company's products. He will ensure a system for market intelligence and research on a continuous basis among others.
