Srinivasan is the first private sector specialist, who has been appointed as the head of the PESB.

Srinivasan, a distinguished leader in the corporate and public enterprise sectors, has played a pivotal role in driving strategic leadership appointments within central public sector enterprises (CPSEs). Prior to assuming office, Srinivasan was Chairman and Managing Director of Tractors and Farm Equipment (TAFE) Limited. Her leadership at the PESB has been instrumental in enhancing the transparency and efficiency of the selection process for key managerial positions.

The extension underscores the government's confidence in her capabilities and her contributions to the PESB's mission of strengthening governance in CPSEs.

The move to retain Srinivasan aligns with ongoing efforts to ensure stability and continuity in the management of public enterprises amid evolving challenges in the sector. Her extended tenure is expected to bolster strategic decision-making for India's state-owned enterprises.
