Manoj Kumar Agarwal assumes charge as CMD of BCCL

Manoj Kumar Agarwal has taken over as Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) with effect from September 1

New Delhi: Manoj Kumar Agarwal has taken over as Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, with effect from September 1, 2025. Prior to this, he was serving as Director (Technical, P&P) in the same organisation.

With a career spanning over four decades in the coal sector, he has held key leadership positions in subsidiaries of Coal India Limited, including Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) and Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL).

Agarwal is a Mining Engineering graduate from the Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad, and holds a Master of Business Administration (Executive) degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi.

He has also obtained a Manager’s first-class certificate of competency to manage a coal mine.
