MTNL appoints directors through postal ballot

MTNL has selected Sunil Kumar Verma & Shivendu Gupta as a government nominee directors and Rajiv Kumar as Director (Finance) through postal ballot

New Delhi: State-owned Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) said in a regulatory filing on Tuesday that it has selected Sunil Kumar Verma and Shivendu Gupta as a government nominee directors. Besides them, Rajiv Kumar was appointed as Director (Finance) of the company.

The filing also stated that "the postal ballet was undertaken by Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited for seeking approval of the Members for appointment of Directors. The voting period for casting the vote had commenced on Saturday, January 21, 2023 (9:00 AM) (IST) and ended on Sunday, February 19 (5:00 PM) (IST)."

"The three ordinary resolutions have been passed by the members with requisite majority," said the filing.
