New Delhi: Mundkur S Kamath has assumed charge as Managing Director (MD) of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) on Wednesday. Prior to this, he was serving as Executive Director (Refinery) in the same organisation.
Earlier on February 24, the ACC had approved the appointment of Kamath for a period till the date of his superannuation, i.e. November 30, 2027, or until further orders' whichever is earlier.
Kamath is an alumnus of Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) and TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Manipal. After joining MRPL in July 1992, he has held various positions in the organisation apart from his stint on deputation at ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Ltd (OMPL). Prior to his appointment as Executive Director (Refinery) of MRPL on June 1, 2022, he was serving as Group General Manager (Technical Services) at MRPL.
