New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Nanduri Srinivas as Director (Operations & Business Development) of Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways. He has been appointed on DFCCIL board for a period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post or till superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Srinivas is an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer of 1989-batch. He is currently serving as Executive Director in NTPC Limited, a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power.
Education & background
Srinivas has done his graduation in Agriculture from Agricultural College, Bapatla. He also did his master's in Agricultural Economics from IARI, New Delhi. He is a Certificate Course holder in Leadership and Corporate Governance from the Iclif Leadership and Governance Centre, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and one from in Strategy Management from INSEAD (SG).
In May 2003, he joined IRCTC (Hyderabad) as General Manager (South Central Zone). While serving as General Manager in IRCTC, Hyderabad he introduced cost-efficient methods like stock management and specialized procurement to avoid wastage and improve sales. Subsequently, he was promoted as Principal Head in Zonal Railway Training Institute, Moula Ali (Hyderabad), Senior Divisional Operations Manager at Secunderabad division and Chief Passenger Transportation Manager in South Western Railway. In June 2015, he joined Singareni Collieries Company Limited as Executive Director (Coal Movement). Later in November 2017, he joined NTPC as Executive Director (Fuel Transportation).
