NBCC ropes in CA Vishal Puri as Independent Director on its board

NBCC has announced the appointment of Chartered Accountant Vishal Puri as an Independent Director on its Board

New Delhi: NBCC (India) Limited, a Navratna public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), has announced the appointment of Chartered Accountant Vishal Puri as an Independent Director on its Board.

The appointment was made following the Ministry’s Office Order dated May 20, the company passed a circular resolution on May 24, 2025, confirming Puri's induction as an Additional Director (Independent) for a term of three years, effective from May 23, 2025.

CA Puri brings to the Board a distinguished professional background, with 17 years of experience in accountancy, taxation, audits, and financial management. A resident of Chandigarh, Puri holds a degree in Commerce and an LL.B from Panjab University. He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and holds a DISA certification in Information Systems Audit. He has served as the Chairman of the Chandigarh Branch of ICAI and is recognised for his leadership and adherence to professional ethics.

The company has affirmed that Puri is not debarred from holding the office of director by any SEBI order or authority, in accordance with regulatory requirements.

NBCC has notified that there is no inter-se relationship between Puri and any other director on the company’s board. Additionally, he does not hold any shares in NBCC (India) Limited.
