Pankaj Pandey appointed as Director (Technical) of MECL

The Central Government on Tuesday approved the appointment of Pankaj Pandey for the post of Director (Technical) of MECL Limited

New Delhi: Pankaj Pandey has been appointed as Director (Technical) of Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited (MECL), a PSU under the Ministry of Mines. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), headed by the Prime Minister, has approved his appointment on Tuesday.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Pandey has been appointed to the post for a period of period of five years from the date of his assumption of charge of the post on or after March 1. Presently, he is posted as Chief Manager in Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL).

Pandey was recommended for the post of Director (Technical) of MECL by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on October 21, 2022. He was selected for the post from the list of four candidates, who were interviewed for the position.
