Parthajit De assumes charge as Director (Finance) of SJVN

SJVN Limited has announced that Parthajit De has assumed charge as Director (Finance) with effect from Thursday

New Delhi: SJVN Limited has announced that Parthajit De has assumed charge as Director (Finance), marking a key leadership appointment at the Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Power.

Welcoming the appointment, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Bhupender Gupta extended his congratulations to De and expressed confidence in his leadership.

Prior to joining SJVN, De was associated with NHPC Limited, where he handled key portfolios including Corporate Accounts & Policy Section, Corporate Tax Cell, and Employment Benefit Trusts at the corporate office. He also served as Nominee Director on the board of Loktak Downstream Hydroelectric Corporation Limited, a subsidiary of NHPC.

De began his career with NHPC as a Trainee Officer (Finance) in November 1998 and brings over 27 years of experience across corporate accounts, taxation, financial systems, and contracts. His expertise spans Indian Accounting Standards, taxation laws, tariff regulations, and corporate governance, which are critical for power sector project planning and execution.

Over the years, he has worked across multiple project locations including Rangit (Sikkim), Teesta Low Dam (West Bengal), Siang Basin (Arunachal Pradesh), and rural roads projects in Bihar. He also led the committee for first-time adoption of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) at NHPC.

A Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, De also holds Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and CGMA qualifications.
