Pawan Kumar Rai set to be next Director (Project Planning) of DFCCIL

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Pawan Kumar Rai for the post of Director (Project Planning) of Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL)

New Delhi: Pawan Kumar Rai is set to be next Director (Project Planning) of Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), a PSU under the Ministry of Railways. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on October 25. Presently, he is serving as General Manager (Civil) at Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL).

Rai has been recommended for the post of Director (Projects Planning) of DFCCIL from a list of 11 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on October 25. Out of 11 candidates, two candidates each from NTPC Limited and NHPC Limited, and one each from DFCCIL, RITES Limited, Engineers India Limited (EIL), BHEL, NCL, RVNL and Indian Railways.

As Director (Project Planning) of DFCCIL, Rai will be a member of the board of directors and will report to the Managing Director (MD). He will be responsible for the efficient functioning of the corporation for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters. He will have the overall responsibility for delivering DFC as per the time-bound program and completing various activities viz:- procurement of works, contract administrative, project procurement, coordination with various State Governments, Ministries and other public authorities. In addition to this, He will also involve in the planning of some new corridors, DPRs & land acquisition activates for existing and future lines.
