PESB finds no suitable candidate for AAI's Member (Operations) post

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has not recommended any candidate for the post of Member (Operations) at the Airports Authority of India (AAI)

New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has not recommended any candidate for the post of Member (Operations) at the Airports Authority of India (AAI), a Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

According to the minutes of the PESB meeting held on October 23, the selection interviews were conducted for the position, during which 12 senior executives from AAI appeared before the Board.

The officers who appeared for the interview included:

Suneel Dutt, Executive Director (CNS Planning); Sridhar Kumar Mallick, Executive Director (CNS Operation and Maintenance); Sujoy Dey, Executive Director (Planning); Nandita Bhatt, Executive Director (Planning); Pulla Hezekiah, General Manager (Operations); Vikram Singh, General Manager (Operations), AAI CHQ; S. Senthil Valavan, General Manager (ATM-Training); Dr. Gursewak Manish, Executive Director, Indian Aviation Academy; Santosh Dhoke, General Manager & Airport Director; Utpal Datta Baruah, General Manager (Air Traffic Management); Anchal Prakash, General Manager (Engg-Civil) - JVC; and Dr. Shyameshwar Dayal Sharma, General Manager (Project), Bihta Civil Enclave, Patna, Bihar.

After evaluating the candidates, the PESB stated that no applicant was found suitable for the position. The Board has advised the Administrative Ministry/Department to decide on the next course of action, which may include initiating a Search-cum-Selection Committee (SCSC) process or any other method deemed appropriate with the approval of the competent authority.

The position of Member (Operations) at AAI is a key role responsible for overseeing air traffic management, airport operations, and related strategic planning activities across the country.
