PESB names Darla Sunil Kumar for SECL's Director (Finance) post

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Darla Sunil Kumar for South Eastern Coalfields Limited's (SECL) Director (Finance) post

New Delhi: Darla Sunil Kumar is set to be next Director (Finance) of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), a PSU under the Ministry of Coal. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on Friday. Presently, he is serving as General Manager (Fnance) in Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL).

Kumar has been recommended for the post f Director (Finance) of SECL from a list of 12 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB panel in its selection meeting held on Friday afternoon. Out of 12 candidates, three candidates from Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), two candidates from NCL and one each from Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), Coal India, NTPC, NALCO and SAIL.

As Director (Finance) of SECL, Kumar will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be overall in charge of the finance and accounts of the organisation and be responsible for evolving and formulating policies related to finance and accounts as well as implementation.
