PESB names Salve Sandeep for AVNL’s Director (HR) post

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Salve Sandeep for the post of Director (HR) of Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL)

New Delhi: Salve Sandeep is set to be next Director (Human Resources) of Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL), a PSU under the Ministry of Defence. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Monday. Presently, he is serving as General Manager in the same organisation.

Sandeep has been recommended for the post of Director (HR) of AVNL from a list of nine candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB panel in its 102th selection meeting of 2025 held on October 27. Out of nine candidates, two candidates were from Engineers India Limited (EIL) and one each from AVNL, HAL, BEML, HUDCO, Indian Oil, THDC India Limited and Gokaldas Exports Limited.

As Director (HR) of Yantra India, Sandeep will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to Chairman and Managing Director. He will be responsible for HR planning and organizing manpower resources, HR polices, performance management, compensation management, secession planning, talent management, training, capability building, employee services, industrial relations, CSR, Security and Legal functions in the organisation.
