PESB names Sumitra Priya Srivastava for Indian Oil's Director (Marketing) post

The PESB Panel has recommended the name of Sumitra Priya Srivastava for the post of Director (Marketing) of Indian Oil on Monday

New Delhi: Sumitra Priya Srivastava is set to be next Director (Marketing) of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Monday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (Corporate Strategy) in the same organisation.

Srivastava has been recommended for the post of Director (Marketing) of Indian Oil from a list of 12 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB Selection Panel in its selection meeting held on July 14. Out of 12 candidates, seven candidates were from Indian Oil, two candidates were from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and one each from CONCOR, GAIL (India) Limited and NTPC Limited.

As Director (Marketing) of Indian Oil, Srivastava will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman. He will contribute in the formulation of corporate plans, polices, strategies, both short and long term towards attaining the business objectives of the corporation. He will lead the marketing activities of the company and is responsible for the overall performance of the downstream petroleum business of the company.
