PESB picks RK Chaudhary for NHPC's Director (Technical) post

New Delhi: Raj Kumar Chaudhary is set to be next Director (Technical) of NHPC Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Power. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Thursday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director in the same organisation.

Chaudhary has been recommended for the post of Director (Technical) of NHPC from a list of eight candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel. Out of eight candidates, six candidates were from NHPC Limited and one each from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and NTPC Limited.

Director (Technical) of NHPC, Chaudhary will be a member of Board of Director and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be responsible for formulating the corporate objectives and policies with respect to entire gamut of engineering activities from concept to commissioning of hydro power stations consistent with the corporate mission of achieving technological excellence in the field of hydro power generation within and outside the country.
