PESB picks Supprakash Adhikari for NHPC's Director (Technical) post

The PESB Panel has recommended the name of Supprakash Adhikari for the post of Director (Technical) of NHPC Limited

New Delhi: Suprakash Adhikari is set to be Director (Technical) of NHPC Limited. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterises Selection Board (PESB) pane. The PESB selection meeting was held January 18, in which a total of 12 candidates were interviewed.

Adhikari, currently serving as Executive Director (O&M) and Design (E&M) at NHPC, brings a wealth of experience to the position. With an extensive background in operations and maintenance, coupled with expertise in design, his leadership is expected to enhance NHPC's technical capabilities.

The selection process saw participation from several senior executives from NHPC, NTPC, and BHEL, showcasing a high level of competition for the role. Other notable candidates included Shri Ashok Kumar Nauriyal, Head of Projects at Ratle HE Project (NHPC), Ramesh Mukhiya, Managing Director at Chenab Valley Power Projects, and Vijay Chand, Chief General Manager at NTPC.

The PESB's recommendation now awaits formal approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
