PESB recommends Chacko Mazhuvanchery Jose for BPCL's Director (Refineries) post

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Chacko Mazhuvanchery Jose for the post of Director (Refineries) of BPCL on Friday

New Delhi: Chacko Mazhuvanchery Jose is set to be next Director (Refineries) of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection (PESB) panel on Friday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director at Kochi Refinery in the same organisation.

Jose has been recommended for the post of Director (Refineries) of BPCL from a list of 12 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel, in its selection meeting held on August 21. The candidates included senior executives from BPCL, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and Engineers India Limited (EIL).

Jose is a Chemical Engineering graduate from Government Engineering College, Thrissur. He also holds an MBA from Cochin University of Science and Technology. Prior to this role, he headed BPCL’s Bina Refinery in Madhya Pradesh.

With over 35 years of experience across three petroleum refineries in India, Jose has handled diverse portfolios including operations, technical services, projects, energy, and environment management.

As Director (Refineries) of BPCL, Jose will oversee the safe and efficient operation of all company oil refineries while driving major growth projects. They also serve on the corporate board to lead strategic transitions into petrochemicals and green energy.
