PESB recommends Dr Ranjay Choudhary for IRFC's Director (Finance) post

The PESB Panel has recommended the name of Dr Ranjay Choudhary for the post of Director (Finance) of IRFC Limited on Tuesday

New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended the name of Dr Ranjay Choudhary for the post of Director (Finance) at Indian Railway Finance Corporation Limited, a Schedule ‘A’ Central Public Sector Enterprise.

The recommendation was made during PESB Meeting No. 28/2026 held on April 7, according to an official document.

Dr Choudhary is currently serving as Chief General Manager at Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC). He was selected from a pool of senior candidates drawn from various PSUs and government organisations.

A total of 11 candidates were interviewed for the position, including senior executives from organisations such as REC Limited, Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited, Container Corporation of India Limited, Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited, and Indian Oil Corporation Limited.

Dr Choudhary is a senior finance professional currently serving as Chief General Manager at Power Finance Corporation Limited. A qualified Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), he has extensive experience in infrastructure and power sector financing.

He has been associated with key financial functions including project financing, external funding, and corporate finance, contributing to large-scale infrastructure projects across sectors. Known for his expertise in financial structuring and treasury management, he has built a strong track record in public sector finance.

The final appointment will be subject to approval by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
