New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended the names of Rajeev Kumar Sinha and Nripendra Nath for Director (Technical) positions at Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL), a Mini Ratna public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Coal.
The recommendations have been made after two separate selection meetings of PESB held on July 2.
In the first selection meeting held, PESB recommended the name Rajeev Kumar Sinha. Sinha currently serves as General Manager (Technical Services) to the Chairman and Managing Director at Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL). He was shortlisted from among 11 candidates representing leading coal sector PSUs, including Northern Coalfields Limited, Central Coalfields Limited, Western Coalfields Limited, NLC India Limited, NTPC Limited, and GHCL Ltd.
In the second PESB meeting held the same day, the PESB panel recommended the name of Nripendra Nath. Nath is presently serving as General Manager of the Magadh-Sanghmitra Area at Central Coalfields Limited (CCL). This subsequent panel also included 11 senior officials from entities such as Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, South Eastern Coalfields Limited, Western Coalfields Limited, NLC India, NTPC, and GHCL.
CMPDIL has four sanctioned posts of Director (Technical). Currently, there are three individuals holding these positions: Ajay Kumar, Shankar Nagachari and Marapally Venkateshwarlu.
CMPDIL, a fully owned subsidiary of Coal India Limited, plays a crucial role in mine planning, technical consultancy, and exploration for the Indian coal sector.
