PESB selects Vikas as Managing Director of BPRL

The PESB Panel has recommended the name of Vikas for Managing Director (MD) of Bharat Petro Resources Limited (BPRL) on Tuesday

New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Vikas for the post of Managing Director (MD) at Bharat Petro Resources Limited (BPRL), a Schedule ‘B’ subsidiary of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL).

The selection was made during PESB’s meeting held on August 14, in which eight candidates were interviewed. Vikas is currently serving as Chief General Manager and Head of BD/Policy/Regulatory/Commercial at the Production Joint Venture Assets & Business Development division of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC).

Other contenders for the position included senior executives from BPRL, BPCL, ONGC, Engineers India Limited (EIL), and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).

The appointment of Vikas is subject to requisite clearances and approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
