Priya Ranjan set to be next Director in-charge of SAIL's Bokaro Steel Plant

The PESB Panel has recommended the name of Priya Ranjan for the post Director in-charge of Steel Authority of India's (SAIL) Bokaro Steel Plant

New Delhi: Priya Ranjan is set to be next Director in-charge of Steel Authority of India’s (SAIL) Bokaro Steel Plant. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on Friday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (Operations) with additional charge of head of Directorate of Mines and Logistics at the same organisations.

Ranjan has been recommended for the post of Director in-charge of SAIL's Bokaro Steel Plant from a list of 12 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on August 22. Out of 12 candidates, seven candidates were from SAIL, two candidates each from RINL-VSP & MECON Limited and one candidate was from Orissa Mineral Development Company Limited (OMDCL).

As Director-in-charge of SAIL's Bokaro Steel Plant, Ranjan will be a member of the Board of Director and will report to Chairman. He will be the overall in-charge of Bokaro Steel Plant and is responsible for efficient functioning of the Plant and the concerned mines for achieving the corporate objectives and performance parameters. He will also be responsible for project implementation at the plant concerned mines and for marketing sales of products from the plant and concerned mines.
