PTC India changes designation of CMD Manoj Kumar Jhawar as MD & CEO

After board and shareholder approvals, Jhawar is redesignated as MD & CEO of PTC India and will continue in the role till August 2028

New Delhi: Power trading solutions provider PTC India on Wednesday announced the change in designation of Manoj Kumar Jhawar from Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) to Managing Director & CEO of the company. The company, on February 14, informed that its Board of Directors has approved the change in designation of CMD Jhawar.

Consequent to the approval accorded by the shareholders (through resolution passed by postal ballot on March 20), the Board of Directors of the company has changed the designation of Manoj Kumar Jhawar from "Chairman & Managing Director" to "Managing Director & CEO" with effect from 13th April, 2026 resulting in relinquishment of his post as Chairman, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Jhawar was appointed as the CMD from May 13, 2025 till the date of attaining the age of superannuation (i.e. 19th August, 2028).

Jhawar shall act as 'Managing Director & CEO' of the company for the remainder of his existing term of appointment, on the same terms and conditions and remuneration as approved earlier, except for the change in designation, and his office shall be liable to retire by rotation, it stated.

Jhawar, aged about 57 years, is a PhD (Management Sciences) from Devi Ahilya University, Indore.

He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Government Engineering College, Ujjain and did his Masters in Industrial Engineering & Management from Devi Ahilya University, Indore.

He is a qualified Cost Accountant from ICAI. He joined the PTC Board as Whole time Director designated as Director (Commercial & Operations) from 18th January, 2024.
