Raj Kumar Maity set to Director (MB) of Balmer Lawrie

New Delhi: (PESB Recommendation) Raj Kumar Maity is set to be Director (Manufacturing Business) Balmer Lawrie & Co. Limited, PSU under the administrative control of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). The name of Maity has been recommended by a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Monday. Currently, Maity is Vice President in the same organisation.

Maity has been recommended for the post of Director (Manufacturing Business) of Balmer Lawrie & Co. Limited from a list of 10 candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel. Out of 10, six candidates, who were on the list, were from Balmer Lawrie & Co. Limited and others were from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Indian Railways Service of Electrical Engineering and Indian Navy.

The Director (Manufacturing Business) post in Balmer Lawrie is vacant since December 16, 2019. As Director (Manufacturing Business) Maity will be responsible for providing direction and guidance to the business under his charge i.e. greases & lubricants, leather, chemicals, industrial packaging and refinery and oilfields services, environment scanning and implementation of business strategies. He also will be responsible for the identification of appropriate technologies, technology vendors and guiding technology transfers in existing and new ventures.
