Rajesh Kumar Agarwal set to be next Director (Finance) of PFC

Rajesh Kumar Agarwal has been recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of Power Finance Corporation (PFC) on Wednesday

New Delhi: Rajesh Kumar Agarwal is set to be next Director (Finance) of Power Finance Corporation (PFC) Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Power. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Wednesday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (Finance) in the same organisation.

According to the PESB minutes, 11 candidates were interviewed for the post. The applicants included senior finance professionals from PFC, REC Limited, Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited, among others.

The post of Director (Finance) at PFC is a key board-level role, responsible for overseeing the company’s financial strategy, capital management, fundraising operations and compliance functions. As a leading non-banking financial company under the Ministry of Power, PFC plays a pivotal role in financing India’s power and infrastructure sector.

The PESB recommendation will now be forwarded to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval.
