Rajesh Kumar Jha going to be next Director (Personnel) of NEEPCO

The appointment of Rajesh Kumar Jha as Director (Personnel) will be effective only after the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet’s (ACC) approval

New Delhi: Rajesh Kumar Jha is set to be next Director (Personnel) of North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Power. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel, the senior-level head-hunter body for PSUs, on Tuesday. However, the appointment of Jha as Director (Personnel) of NEEPCO will be effective only after the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet’s (ACC) approval. Presently, he is serving as Major General in the Indian Army.

Jha has been recommended for the post of Director (Personnel) of NEEPCO from a list of nine candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on March 7, 2023. Out of nine candidates, five candidates were from NTPC Limited and one each from NEEPCO Limited, REC Limited, Rain Industries and Indian Army.

As Director (Personnel) of NEEPCO, Jha will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be overall in-charge of coordinating and implementing personnel and industrial relations policies, management functions, administrative control etc in the organisation.
