New Delhi: State-owned REC Limited on Tuesday said Director (Projects) of Power Finance Corporation (PFC) Rajiv Ranjan Jha has been appointed as nominee director of PFC on the board of REC.

"Ministry of Power vide order dated April 6, 2026, has conveyed the approval of Competent Authority for nomination of Rajiv Ranjan Jha, Director (Projects), PFC as nominee director of PFC, on the board of REC with effect from April 6, 2026," the filing stated.

Jha has been working with PFC since March 1997. He has been holding charge of Director (Projects), PFC since October 28, 2021.

He holds a Bachelor's Degree In Science (Mechanical Engg.) from NIT Jamshedpur of Ranchi University and a Diploma in Management from IGNOU.

Jha has over 35 years of experience. Before joining PFC, he has worked with Visakhapatnam Steel Plant from November 1988 to February 1997 and dealt with operation and maintenance of its coal-based captive power plant and also in material planning.
