Rakesh Chandra Tiwari (ITS) set to be Director (Marketing) of ITI Limited

New Delhi: (PESB Recommendation) Rakesh Chandra Tiwari (ITS) is set to be Director (Marketing) of ITI Limited, a Miniratna PSU under the Department of Telecommunications. He has been recommended by a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on Thursday. Tiwari is an Indian Telecommunications Service (ITS) officer and currently working as Principal General Manager in the DoT.

Tiwari has been recommended for the post of Director (Marketing) of ITI Limited from a list of two candidates who were interviewed by the selection panel. Another candidate was from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).

The post of Director (Marketing) of ITI Limited is vacant since October 14, 2019. As Director (Marketing) in ITI Limited, Tiwari will be the head of the marketing division of the company. He will be responsible for the marketing operations of the company, including the formulation and implementation of marketing policies, keeping in view the company's profitability and objectives.

Tiwari is an Engineering (Electronics/Telecommunication) graduate from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra. He has more than 24 years of experience in the telecommunication sector. He joined DoT as an ITS officer and continued there till BSNL was formed. He has worked with BSNL (on deputation) for more than 14 years. At BSNL, he was looking after operations and marketing of telecom services based on landline and OFC.
