Ramana Babu appointed as Director (Marketing) of ITI Limited

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Ramana Babu for the post of Director (Marketing) of ITI Limited

New Delhi: Ramana Babu has been appointed as Director (Marketing) of ITI Limited, a PSU under the Department of Telecommunications. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Babu has been appointed to the post for a period with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post till July 31, 2028 i.e. the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Presently, he is serving as Principal General Manager (PGM) in BSNL Limited.

Earlier, PSU Watch had reported when Babu was recommended for the post of Director (Marketing) of ITI Limited by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on August 4. He was selected for the post from a list of six candidates who were interviewed for the post.

ITI Limited is a public sector undertaking in the telecommunications technology segment established as a departmental factory in 1948. The company has a diverse suite of products including manufactured products like Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON), Managed Leased Line Network (MLLN) products, Stand Alone Signaling Transfer Point (SSTP), etc.
