Ravindra Prasad assumes charge as CVO of NCL

Ravindra Prasad has assumed charge as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) with effect from December 12

New Delhi: Ravindra Prasad has assumed the charge as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Northen Coalfields Limited (NCL) with effect from December 12. He is a 1997-batch officer of Indian Telecom Service (ITS). Prior to joining as CVO of NCL, he was posted as Director in the Department if Telecommunications, New Delhi where apart from other responsibilities, he was responsible for coordination with International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

Prasad holds Bachelor Degree in Electronics Engineering from Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College, Allahabad followed by MBA from Institute of Management Technology, Centre for Distance Learning, Ghazibad.

Having vast experience of about 27 years in the Telecommunication Sector, he rendered his services in Assam, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi at various key positions like Divisional Engineer, Telecom District Manager, Dy. General Manager & Director. 

During his stint in the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar as Director from 2013 to 2020 on deputation, Shri Prasad., played an instrumental role in Policy Formulation for development and promotion of industrialisation in the State.

These include formulation of Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Act 2016, Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Rule 2016, Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Policy 2016 and Bihar Start-up Policy 2017. Under his leadership, in order to foster the Ease of Doing Business, an online Single clearance portal was developed and implemented there.

Prasad has been actively engaged in implementation and execution of various State Government schemes, recent being “Bihar Mukhyamantri Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe Udami Yojna 2018”.

In his official capacity, he has traversed diverse corners of the globe, such as South Africa, China, Israel, Ukraine, Bangladesh, and Nepal.
