REC’s Bhupender Gupta set to be next Director (Technical) of THDC

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended the name of Bhupender Gupta for the post of Director (Technical) of THDC India Limited

New Delhi: Bhupender Gupta is set to be next Director (Technical) of THDC (India) Limited. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Wednesday. Presently, he is serving as Chief General Manager at Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) Limited.

Gupta has been recommended for the post of Director (Technical) of THDC India Limited from a list of seven candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel. Out of seven candidates, four candidates were from NTPC Limited and one each from THDC India Limited, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and REC Limited.

Gupta has specialization is in project management, contract management, construction and consultancy. He has rich experience of 29 years out of which around 26 years in the Power Sector and was responsible for planning, design, execution, contract & project management and O&M of large hydro projects as well as transmission and distribution projects. Before joining REC Limited in 2007, he worked in SJVN Limited for 12 years at various positions.
