S Sakthimani set to be next CMD of FACT

The PESB panel has recommended the name of S Sakthimani for the post of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of FACT Limited on Friday

New Delhi: S Sakthimani is set to be next Director (Finance) of Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT), a PSU under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Friday. Presently, he is serving as Director (Finance) in the same organisation.

Sakthimani has been recommended for the post of CMD of FACT Limited from a list of four candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on October 3. Out of four candidates, two candidates were from Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and one each from NMDC and FACT Limited.

As Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of FACT Limited, Sakthimani will be the Chief Executive of the company and will be accountable to its board of directors and government and shareholders. He will be responsible for the efficient functioning of the company, and for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters.
