SAIL’s Balasugumar Damniel set to be next Director (Operations) of Cement Corporation

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Balasugumar Damniel for the post of Director (Operations) of Cement Corporation of India Limited (CCI)

New Delhi: Balasugumar Damniel set to be next Director (Operations) of Cement Corporation of India Limited (CCI), a PSU under the Ministry of Heavy Industries. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) Panel on Friday. Presently, he is serving as Chief General Manager (Works) at Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).

Damniel has been recommended for the post of Director (Operations) of CCI from a list of nine candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel, in its selection meeting held on August 8. Out of nine candidates, three candidates were from Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), two candidates from Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), and one each from CCI, Brahamputra Crackers & Polymer Limited (BC&PL), Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) and Sagarmala Finance Corporation Limited.

As Director (Operations) of CCI, Damniel will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). He will be responsible for overall operations of the company including Planning & Production, Strategic planning for expanding the business horizon of the company, Quality Assurance, Modernization, Project management and Indigenisation.
