Sandeep Sudhakar Paranjape has assumed charge as Director (Technical/Projects & Planning) of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) on Wednesday

New Delhi/Nagpur: Sandeep Sudhakar Paranjape has assumed charge as Director (Technical/Projects & Planning) of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) on Wednesday. Prior to this, he was serving as Area General Manager at South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL).

On his arrival at WCL, he was warmly welcomed by WCL's Director (Human Resources) Dr Hemant Sharad Pandey, .

Paranjpe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from Shri Ramdeobaba Kamla Nehru Engineering College, Nagpur University, which he completed in 1991. He brings with him over three decades of rich and extensive experience in the coal mining sector.

With 16 years of hands-on experience in underground mining at Pathakheda and Saoner, Shri Paranjpe has developed strong expertise across key domains including mine management, land acquisition, project implementation, production, mine planning, coal quality management and mine closure.

At SECL, he also worked as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of SECL, where he made significant operational and strategic contributions to the company.

On the occasion of his assuming charge, heads of departments and officers across WCL extended their best wishes to Paranjape for a successful tenure.
