Sanoj Kumar Jha gets additional charge as CMD of NLC India Ltd

Ministry of Coal's Additional Secretary Sanoj Kumar Jha has been entrusted with the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NLC India Limited

New Delhi: Sanoj Kumar Jha, Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Coal, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NLC India Limited.

Jha, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, currently serves as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Coal and has extensive administrative experience in the coal and energy sectors. He has been associated with policy formulation, strategic planning and governance, and is expected to provide leadership to NLC India as it advances its transformation into a diversified energy company with interests spanning mining, thermal power generation and renewable energy.

NLC India said its Board of Directors, employees and stakeholders have welcomed Jha's appointment and expressed confidence that his leadership will help the company achieve higher standards of operational excellence, sustainable growth and long-term value creation.

The company said it expects to accelerate key strategic initiatives under Jha's leadership, including capacity expansion, improvements in operational efficiency, digital transformation, expansion of its renewable energy portfolio and diversification into emerging business areas.

His appointment comes at a time when NLC India is implementing an ambitious growth roadmap comprising multiple mining, power generation and green energy projects across the country.
