Satyan Kumar set to be next Director (Strategy & Corporate Affairs) of ONGC

The PESB Panel has recommended the name of Satyan Kumar for the post of Director (Strategy & Corporate Affairs) of ONGC on Friday

New Delhi: Satyan Kumar is set to be next Director (Strategy & Corporate Affairs) of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Limited, a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Friday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of ONGC Green Limited.

Kumar has been recommended for the post of Director (Strategy & Corporate Affairs) of ONGC from a list of 12 candidates, who were interviewed for the position by the PESB panel in its 13th selection meeting held on February 20. Other candidates included senior executives from ONGC, Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited, Oil India Limited, and Indian Oil Corporation Limited.

Kumar is Executive Director (Chief Strategy) at ONGC and a Board Member at ONGC Tripura Power Company Limited, with over three decades of experience across the oil, gas and power sectors. An Electrical Engineering graduate from Dayalbagh Educational Institute, he has also completed a Business Management programme from Management Development Institute and undergone leadership training at ESCP Europe.

He has over 22 years of experience in Project management field at various sites of ONGC including power plants, switch yards, sub stations, effluent plants, control rooms, pipe lines etc. Presently associated with construction of petrochemical complex at Dahej, Gujarat.
