New Delhi: Shilpa Sachin Shinde (IAS) has been appointed as the new Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) WAPCOS Limited, a PSU under the under the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved her appointment for the post on Saturday.
Shinde is a 2006-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of AGMUT cadre. Presently, she is serving as Development Commissioner.
According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), she has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
