Shivendra Shukla appointed as part-time Govt Director on IRCTC Board

The Ministry of Railways appointed Shivendra Shukla as an Additional Director (Part-time Government Director) on IRCTC Board on Tuesday

New Delhi: Shivendra Shukla has been appointed as an Additional Director (Part-time Government Director) on IRCTC Board with effect from September 3. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (Passenger Marketing) of Railway Board.

According to IRCTC’s regulatory filing to the stock exchange, the Ministry of Railways has appointed Shukla as a Part-time Government Director on the board of the company with effect from September 3, till he holds the post of Executive Director (Passenger Marketing), Railway Board or further orders, whichever is earlier.

Shukla is an Indian Railway Traffic Services (IRTS) officer of the 1998 batch. He has been serving as Executive Director (Passenger Marketing) on Railway Board since July 10. With an illustrious career spanning over 25 years in Indian Railways, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the IRCTC Board of Directors.

Shukla holds a B. Tech and M. Tech from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, and a Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy Management (PGPPM) from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad.

Throughout his career, he has held various leadership positions across multiple railways, including North-Eastern Railway, East Central Railway, North Central Railway, Northern Railway, and Indian Railways Institute of Transportation Management (IRITM). His diverse experience spans operations, commercial, vigilance, FOIS, human resource development, and general management.

Before assuming his current role, Shukla served as Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Lucknow (Northern Railway).
