Vivek Gupta set to be next Director (Finance) of CONCOR

The PESB Panel has recommended the name of Vivek Gupta for the post of Director (Finance) of Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) on Thursday

New Delhi: Vivek Gupta is set to be next Director (Finance) of Container Corporation of India (CONCOR), a PSU under the Ministry of Railways. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Thursday. Presently, he is serving as Group General Manager (Finance) at DFCCIL, also a PSU under the Ministry of Railways.

Gupta has been recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of CONCOR from a list of nine candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB panel in its 4th selection meeting of 2026 held on January 22. Besides Gupta, the candidates included senior executives from leading public sector undertakings and government organisations such as CONCOR, GAIL (India) Limited, Central Warehousing Corporation, Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), NBCC (India) Limited, REC Limited, and the Ministry of Railways.

As Director (Finance) of CONCOR, Gupta will be a member of Board of Directors of the Corporation and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be overall in charge of finance and accounts functions of the organisation. He will also be responsible for formulation of policies relating to finance and accounts and implementation.
