BEL Recruitment: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence has posted a job notification through PESB portal for the engagement of Director (HR). Eligible & interested candidates can apply for the job before February 24, 2021. The post will fall vacant on August 1, 2021. Shivakumaran KM is currently serving as Director (HR) of BEL.

Director (Human Resources) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He/She is overall in-charge of coordinating and implementing personnel and industrial relations policies, management functions, administrative control etc. in the organisation.

Pay scale: Rs 1,80,000/-  Rs 3,40,000/- (IDA)

Age Limit: Minimum age limit 45 years and age of superannuation 60 years

The minimum length of service required in the eligible scale will be one year for internal candidates, and two years for others as on the date of vacancy.

Employment status

The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:-

(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);
(b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services;
(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 5,000 crore or more;
(d) Private sector in the company where the annual turnover is *Rs 5,000 crore or more.
Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.

(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits) 

Qualification

The applicant should be a graduate from a recognised university or institute with the good academic record.
The postgraduate diploma or degree in Personnel Management or Human Resource Management or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or Post Graduate Diploma or Programme in Management (PGDM/ PGPM) from a recognised university or institute will be desirable.

Experience

The applicant should have at least five years of cumulative experience during the last ten years in various aspects of HR or Personnel Management or industrial relations in an organisation of repute.

Applicants from state public sector enterprises, private sector should be working at board level position or at least a post of the level immediately below the board level on the date of application.

Duration of appointment 

The appointment shall be for a period of five years from the date of joining or up-to-the date of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Note (i) Applicants from central government or all India services should be holding a post of the level of Joint Secretary in Government or carrying an equivalent scale of pay on the date of application.
(ii) Applicants from the Armed forces of the Union should be holding a post of the level of Major General in the Army or equivalent rank in Navy/Air Force on the date of application.
