NLC Recruitment 2020: NLC India Limited (Formerly Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited) a Navratna PSU under the Ministry Coal, has released a job notification through the PESB portal for the engagement Director (Planning & Projects ). Eligible candidates can apply for the job before August 18. The post is vacant since June 1.

Director (Planning & Projects) is a member of the board of directors and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director. He/She is responsible for planning including manpower, equipment and systems, programming and scheduling and formulation of mining & power projects as well as expansion schemes, project monitoring and coordination. He/She also functions as head of the Internal safety organization, environment, pollution control & R&D programmes, contracts and purchases. He/ She is Head of NLC's consultancy wing (domestic/foreign) and he/she is also responsible for preparation of the annual plan, five-year plan and working group proposals.

Pay scale: Rs 1,80,000/- 3,40,000/- (IDA)

Age Limit: Minimum age limit 45 years and age of superannuation 60 years

Employment Status

The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:-
(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);
(b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services;
(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 5,000 crore or more;
(d) Private Sector in a company where the annual turnover is *Rs 5,000 crore or more.
Preference would be given to candidates from listed Companies.
(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)

Qualifications

The applicant should be an Engineering graduate with a good academic record from a recognised university or institution.
Applicants with MBA qualification will have an added advantage.

Experience

The applicant should have at least five years' cumulative experience in planning and management of projects during the last ten years in an organisation of repute.
experience in power or mining sector is desirable.
