ONGC Videsh Recruitment 2020: ONGC Videsh Limited (OVL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of ONGC Limited under the administrative control of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG) has invited job applications for the post of Director (Exploration). Eligible candidates can apply for the job before July 30. The post is vacant since May 1.

Director (Exploration) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to the Managing Director. He/She advises Chairman, Managing Director and the Board of Directors on all matters relating to the business and potential investment opportunities in overseas E&P assets. He/She is responsible for the formulation and implementation of exploration and reserves accretion policies and strategies.

Pay scale: Rs 1,80,000/- 3,40,000/- (IDA)

Age Limit: Minimum age limit 45 years and age of superannuation 60 years

Employment status

The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:
(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE),
(b) The central government including the armed forces of the union and all India services,
(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 2000 crore or more;
(d) The private sector in a company where the annual turnover is *Rs 2000 crore or more.
Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.
(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)

Qualifications

The applicant should be a post-graduate in Geosciences or Physics or Chemistry or graduate in petroleum engineering with a good academic record from a recognised university or institution.
Applicants with Post Graduate in Geosciences/Graduate in Petroleum Engineering will, however, be preferred.

Experience

The applicant should have adequate experience at a senior level in an organization of repute, out of which at least 5 years during the last 10 years should have been in the field of exploration and development in the hydrocarbon sector.
