New Delhi: Anish Dayal Singh (IPS) has been appointed as the new Director General of ITBP, according to a DoPT order issued on Saturday. Anish Dayal Singh, a 1988-batch officer (Manipur cadre), is currently serving as a special director in the Intelligence Bureau (IB). he was appointed as Special Director (IB) in June 2021. He has worked on many desks and handled various investigations during his tenure in the central intelligence agency.

Anish Dayal Singh has been appointed as DG-ITBP from the date of joining till December 31, 2024, which is the date of his superannuation or till further order, whichever is earlier.

The order for his appointment was issued by the Personnel Ministry after sanction from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) headed by the prime minister.
