ASQ Survey Places 4 AAI Airports Amongst World’s Best

ASQ Awards recognize those airports around the world that deliver the best customer experience in the opinion of their own passengers

New Delhi: Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey that is conducted by the Airports Council International (ACI) has included 4 of India's airports in the Global Best airports' lost for the year 2018. These airports are Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh and Indore. The ACI-ASQ survey was carried out at around 346 airports across North America, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, Middle East and Asia. The ASQ survey results are monitored by AERA, NITI Aayog and MoCA. These 4 airports won nine awards in different categories.

A proud moment for AAI

Recognition coming from a global survey agency has given Airports Authority of India many reasons to smile. All of the 4 airports are being run and managed by AAI. It is important to note here that ACI is a global non-profit organization of Airport Operators.

The ASQ programme provides the research tools and management information to better understand passengers' views and what they want from an airport's from the products and services point of view.

ASQ survey is again internationally established a global benchmarking programme that measures passengers' satisfaction, whilst they travel through an airport. Basically, the ASQ survey globally recognizes those airports that deliver the best customer experience in the opinion of their own passengers.

The survey is based on what passengers experienced

The ASQ programme provides the research tools and management information to better understand passengers' views and what they want from an airport's from the products and services point of view. On the basis of varied customers' feedback, the ACI has introduced 03 new categories for ASQ awards. Best Airport by Environment and Ambience, Best Customer Service by size and Best Infrastructure and Facilitation by size.
Based on the results of the ASQ survey, awards won by AAI airports are detailed below:

1. Best Airport by size and Region: Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh 2-5 million passengers per year
and Indore Airports in Asia-Pacific

2. Best Airport by Environment and Ambience by size: Chandigarh 2-5 million passengers per year
Ahmedabad Airport 5-15 million passengers per year

3. Best Customer Service by size: Indore Airport 2-5 million passengers per year
Ahmedabad Airport 5-15 million passengers per year

4. Best Infrastructure and Facilitation by size: Indore Airport 2-5 million passengers per year
Ahmedabad Airport 5-15 million passengers per year

All the 4 airports won a total of 9 awards in various categories.
