BEML reports highest ever turnover of Rs 4,143 crore in FY 2021-22

New Delhi: Defence PSU, BEML Limited has declared its financial performance for the financial year 2021-22. During the period BEML has achieved its highest ever turnover of Rs 4,143 crore, against the previous year's turnover of Rs 3,557 crores.

The PSU has recorded the highest ever value of production of Rs 3,993 crores in FY 2021-22, which stood at Rs 3,556 crores in FY 2020-21. This was achieved despite challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and resultant supply chain disruptions.

The profit before tax (PBT) has grown to Rs 206 crores in FY 2021-22 from Rs 93 crores in FY 2020-21 and net profit stands at Rs 135 crores in FY 2021-22 against Rs 75 crore in FY 2020-21. BEML's order book stands at Rs 9,192 crores as of March 31.

During the year BEML has exported to a new country Madagascar adding to its list of export to 68 countries.

Major milestone achieved during FY 2021-22 includes successful commissioning of 190 T Electric Dump Truck at NCL Singrauli, supply of 81 nos. of Medical Oxygen Plant by standing with the nation to tide over the COVID-19 pandemic and flagged off MRS 1 Driverless Metro Cars for Mumbai Metro.
