BHEL looking for Director (Power); apply before March 30

BHEL recruitment 2020: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, has invited job applications for the post of Director (Power). Interested and eligible candidates can apply before March 30. The post will fall vacant on February 1, 2021.

Director (Power) is a member of the Board of the Directors and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He/She is responsible for maximizing BHEL's market share and providing end to end solutions for the power sector business of the company.

Pay scale: Rs 1,80,000/- Rs 3,40,000/- (IDA)

Age Limit: Minimum age limit 45 years and age of superannuation 60 years

Employment status

The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:-

(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);

(b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services;

(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 10,000 crore or

(d) Private Sector in a company where the annual turnover is *Rs 10,000 crore or more. Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.

(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)

Qualifications

The applicant should be an engineering graduate with a good academic record from a recognised university or institution. Applicants with an MBA or post-graduate diploma in Management will have an added advantage.

Experience

The applicant should have adequate experience at the senior level in a large organisation of repute, out of which at least five years during the last ten years should be in areas catering to power sector business. Persons with experience in management or execution of large engineering projects would have added advantage.
