Big B’s blog turns 11, and guess what he has been writing daily for 4,018 days

Mumbai: Would you believe that it has been 11 long years since Amitabh Bachchan started his personal blog? On Wednesday, when Bachchan's personal blog turned 11, the megastar used the platform to reach out to his readers and fans who he fondly calls 'Ef,' aka extended family. He wrote, "So the gracious Ef and about, have with great consideration, pride and love, calculated the birth of this BLOG as the 17th April being 11 years .. 11 considered auspicious and at times pious in most of India..!"

Bachchan started blogging on this day in 2008. The platform is used by him to share anecdotes about his health, personal life and details about his upcoming films and shows. Through the blog, AB also wishes his fans on their birthdays.

Bachchan also took to Twitter to share the moment, saying, "On 17th of April 2008, began the blog. Today 11 years of it 17th April 2019. Every day without a break. Thank you my extended family for your love affection and grace. We hold hands in peace consideration and understanding. Values most cherished."

The thespian has been writing everyday for the last 4,018 days.

"I can only with folded hands, pray for its continuity and its longevity in the times to come. My sincerity shall, I hope, have the capacity to match what you have given me," Bachchan said.
