BRPL Recruitment: Bharat Petro Resources Limited (BPRL) has posted a job vacancy for the engagement of Director (Operations & Business Development). Eligible candidates can apply for the job before March 1. The post will fall vacant on December 1, 2021.

The Director (Operations & Business Development) is a member of the board of directors and reports to the Managing Director (MD). He/She is overall in-charge of operations including exploration, appraisal, development, production and operations of assets. He/She is also responsible for planning, business development, targeted growth, profitability, project execution, early monetisation and business development activities including identification of new opportunities or developing rapport or relationship with the government agencies, operators of international repute etc.

Pay scale: Rs 65,000 – 75,000

Age Limit: Minimum age limit 45 years and age of superannuation 60 years

The minimum length of service required in the eligible scale will be one year for internal candidates, and two years for others as on the date of the vacancy.

Employment status

The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:-

(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);
(b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services;
(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 750 crore or more;
(d) Private Sector in a company where the annual turnover is *Rs 750 crore or more.

Qualifications 

The applicant should be an engineering graduate or postgraduate in geo-science with a good academic record from a recognised university or institution.

Experience

The applicant should have adequate experience at a senior level in an organisation of repute, out of which at least 5 years during the last ten years should have been in operations or business development in exploration & production in the hydrocarbon sector.

Note (i) Applicants from Central Government / All India Services should be holding a post of the level of Director in Government of India or carrying equivalent scale of pay on the date of application.

(ii) Applicants from the Armed forces of the Union should be holding a post of the level of Brigadier in the Army or equivalent rank in Navy/Air Force on the date of application.

Applicants from State Public Sector Enterprises/ Private Sector should be working at Board level position or at least a post of the level immediately below the Board level on the date of application.

Duration of appointment 

The appointment shall be for a period of five years from the date of joining or up-to-the date of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
