Singh has been recommended for the post of Director in-charge of SAIL's Burnpur and Durgapur Steel Plants from a list of eight candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel, in its selection meeting held on January 28. As Director in-charge of SAIL’s Burnpur and Durgapur Steel Plants, Singh will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to Chairman. He will be overall in-charge of Burnpur and Durgapur Steel Plants and will be responsible for the efficient functioning of the Plants and the concerned mines for achieving the corporate objectives and performance parameters. He will also be responsible for project implementation at the plants or concerning mines and for marketing or sales of products from the Plants or concerned mines.
